Action Alert

Your help is needed to protect Ohio's airports!

A committee of Ohio state legislators is meeting right now—under the guidance of the governor—to piece together the state’s final budget. Airport funding is in question as some senators have proposed to cut all state funding to airports for the next two years.

Call Gov. Ted Strickland’s office today at 614/644-4357—identify yourself as an Ohio resident—and politely urge the governor to ensure that sufficient airport funding is included in the final budget because:

  • continued investment in the airport infrastructure is critical to the safety and efficiency of airports and the $10 billion state aviation industry; and
  • aviation-related activity generates $20 million in tax revenue for the state annually and supports thousands of jobs for Ohio residents; and
  • airports across the state—large and small—support general aviation operations that are critical to the citizens of Ohio, ranging from emergency medical flights and law enforcement to key agricultural operations.

Your action is critical to this effort. Thank you for your support!
