What is the standard service volume for a low-altitude VOR?
Answer
The standard service volume is from 1,000 feet agl up to and including 18,000 feet agl at radial distances out to 40 nautical miles. These are the standard reception limits for the VOR. (Source: AIM 1-1-8 NAVAID Service Volumes.)
