Cirrus Aircraft announced July 14 the launch of Cirrus Direct, a new division within the company that will distribute parts through the existing network of authorized service centers directly from the factory. Cirrus Direct, staffed in-house, replaces Cirrus Parts by API, and company officials said in a news release that the change will enhance inventory availability, communication, and service.
Owners and operators will continue to order parts and upgrades through the existing network of Cirrus Aircraft Authorized Service Centers (listed on the company website).
Cirrus has spent months working on infrastructure and logistics upgrades to support parts delivery; and the Cirrus Direct program is part of the company’s plan for growth. The new distribution system will facilitate both distribution and returns, and streamline the system supporting the existing fleet of SR-series aircraft, along with the Vision Jet currently being tested for certification expected in 2015.
