Going Global
The Global line of long-range business twinjets from Canada's Bombardier may soon have a newly certified member: the 99,500-pound maximum-takeoff-weight Global 6500, capable of transporting 17 occupants 6,600 nautical miles at Mach 0.90. Bombardier's Global aircraft are spottable by their swept low-wing, T-tailed profiles, and engines mounted on the fuselage's rear. The Global 6500, at 99 feet, 5 inches long and a wingspan of 94 feet, is slightly smaller in both dimensions than Bombardier's flagship Global 7500. (Image courtesy of Bombardier Inc.)

Question

I live in Pennsylvania and with the recent time change, how many hours are we now behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)?
Answer
The time change puts most of us in the United States back on standard time, while we were previously on daylight saving time. The Eastern time zone is now five hours behind UTC, also referred to as Zulu time. This National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration time conversion chart is a helpful tool.
