Question of the Week
|
Question
Can a pilot who is not night current legally carry passengers between the end of evening civil twilight (as defined in FAR 1.1) and one hour after sunset? |
Answer |
Yes, that is legal. Whether it's a good idea is something to consider based on proficiency and the chance of getting caught in the air when the clock runs out. Unless the pilot is both FAR 61.57(b)-current and night proficient, it would be prudent to be on the ground no more than 30 minutes after sunset.
