Final Exam
Question

Why were certain aircraft more attractive to first-time buyers in 2020?
Answer
The top four aircraft financed by AOPA members who were first-time buyers in 2020 (compiled by AOPA Aviation Finance Co.) were the Cessna 172 Skyhawk, Cessna 182 Skylane, Piper Cherokee, and Beechcraft Bonanza Model 35. These aircraft have all been workhorses of the general aviation fleet for 60 years or more. They are among the most produced aircraft, and thousands are still flying today, which makes finding parts and service relatively easy. These models hold their value nicely, and have even appreciated recently. Read the full answer and join the discussion >
