Question of the Week
Question

I have an expired flight instructor certificate with airplane single and multiengine, and instrument airplane ratings. Could I have my certificates and ratings reinstated by just doing the practical test? Would the flight test have to be in a multiengine airplane or include all the items in the practical test standards to reinstate these ratings?
Answer
The reinstatement requirements for flight instructors with expired certificates are covered in FAR 61.199.
