A holly jolly time
A holly jolly time
A single general aviation pilot started flying boughs of holly and other supplies to Tangier Island, Virginia, in 1968. Since then the tradition has grown into an annual operation with pilots and island residents such as Larry Pruitt (pictured) working together to spread Christmas cheer on the island. Final Exam
Question

Can a presolo student who does not yet have a medical certificate or a student pilot certificate taxi an aircraft to the fuel pump?
Answer
Flight time is pilot time that begins when an aircraft moves under its own power for the purpose of flight, and that requires a legal flight crewmember. When taxiing to a fuel pump, there is no intention of flight, and no pilot flight crewmember is required. Read the full answer and join the discussion >
