Final Exam
Question

I just completed the online application for the student pilot certificate through the Integrated Airman Certification and Rating Application system (IACRA). The FAA literature says that I must now meet with a recommending instructor to complete the process. Is this just any CFI or should I look for someone with specific credentials?
Answer
Any CFI can process a student pilot certificate. The easiest option would be to go to your local flight school, preferably the one where you'll be training. To locate a school, check out AOPA's flight school finder. Another option would be to find an independent flight instructor near you. Read the full answer and join the discussion >
