Final Exam
Question

We purchased an aircraft three years ago and were told it was ADS-B compliant. During the annual inspection, we learned that there does not appear to be an ADS-B device present. We have flown the airplane in Class C airspace several times with no issues. Is it possible the airplane is not equipped with ADS-B?
Answer
Any ADS-B Out installation would have to be recorded in the maintenance records. It is possible that the airplane is equipped with an ADS-B device that is installed in a location outside the panel. To verify proper operation you can always request a Public ADS-B Performance Report. Join the discussion >
