Recollections

You will find below stories told about 9/11 in the decades since, examining how the terrorist attacks affected aviation, including general aviation, and how we remember those who we lost that day.

The removal of the last steel piece from the site of the World Trade Center in 2002 marked the end of recovery efforts at ground zero. Today the artifact, known as “The Last Column,” is on display in the 9/11 Memorial Museum’s Foundation Hall where visitors can learn the history behind the column’s preserved handmade tributes.
