Question of the Week
Question

I'm planning a flight across the United States in a couple of months. I currently use an electronic flight bag, but I want to carry current paper charts too, just in case. I want to make sure that the charts I buy now won't expire before my flight. Where can I find that information without checking each sectional?
Answer
The Dates of Latest Editions (DOLEs) page on the FAA website shows the current edition and date of issue, as well as the next edition's date of issue.

This question and answer were provided by AOPA's Pilot Information Center. Got a question for our technical services staff? Contact AOPA.
