Final Exam
Question

What happens if I can't complete my flight review before it expires?
Answer
The simple answer is nothing. Remember that the flight review is not mandated every two years. It is only required to have been accomplished within the last 24 months if you intend to act as pilot in command. The only negative is that you cannot act as PIC until it is completed. (This includes solo flights.) AOPA has requested flexibility from the FAA on the flight review and other deadlines that will be difficult to meet during the coronavirus pandemic.

This question and answer were provided by the aviation experts in AOPA's Pilot Information Center. Did you know that student pilots who join AOPA are three times more likely to complete their flight training? Membership includes unlimited access to aviation information by phone (800-USA-AOPA, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time) or from AOPA Online.
