Question of the Week
|
Question
Can I use the special federal aviation regulations issued during the coronavirus pandemic to extend my flight review privileges? |
Answer |
The process of determining if you can take advantage of the flight review extension is difficult. The extension applies only to pilots conducting specific operations for which the FAA has determined relief is appropriate. If you meet eligibility requirements, see this table from the latest version of the SFAR published October 6 to see if you qualify. It's also important to note that this qualification process must be repeated for every flight. You can't utilize the extension for flying for fun or to exercise your aircraft—every flight must fall under the requirements of the extension.
