Diamond DA40: Trainer with glider roots
If you have been learning to fly in a vintage Cessna or Piper, the four-place Diamond DA40-180, known as the Diamond Star, may seem like a rocket ship in comparison—or at least, a very fast sports car. AOPA Senior Photographer Mike Fizer captured this photo of a DA40 with a G1000 glass cockpit. Follow @flywithAOPA on Instagram to see more photos from AOPA members and staff.
Final Exam
Question

How can I find an A&P for annuals and maintenance on a Cessna 182 in my local area?
Answer
You can check the AOPA Airports and Destinations Directory. Start at your home airport and look under the "FBOs" and "Other businesses" headings. If you can find a shop or two, start there. If not, use the "Nearby airports" link (located above the "FBOs" heading) to search surrounding airports the same way until you find a shop where you can have your maintenance completed.
