Question of the Week
|
Question
I am a military veteran receiving medical disability compensation from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Do I need to report this compensation on my FAA medical certificate application? |
Answer |
Yes. The compensation and the medical conditions for which the compensation is awarded are reportable on the FAA MedXPress application, item 18; failure to report would be considered intentional falsification of the application, and result in a denial or revocation of medical certificates if the FAA becomes aware of the discrepancy. If you have questions about that or any medical certification issue, contact the medical certification staff in the AOPA Pilot Information Center. Join the discussion >
This discussion is from our online Pilot Information Center, where you can ask questions, contribute answers, earn badges, and join our growing pilot community online.
