Question of the Week
|
Question
I just received my medical certificate and am happy that I will finally to be able to solo. However, the "Limitations" part of the certificate specifies that I need to wear glasses or lenses. I have never had either, and my eyesight tests were positive during my medical exam. My flight instructor said that to fly solo, I would technically need to be wearing glasses because of this statement. How can I get this corrected?
|
Answer |
The quickest and easiest way to fix it is to ask your AME to call the FAA. Then have the AME ask the FAA to send you a "wire" confirming the medical certificate without that limitation. Read the full answer and join the discussion >
This discussion is from our online Pilot Information Center, where you can ask questions, contribute answers, earn badges, and join our growing pilot community online. Got a question for our technical services staff? Contact AOPA. |
