Question of the Week
|
Question
I'm an instrument-rated private pilot flying a light sport aircraft. I don't have a current medical and I'm currently using my driver's license for that requirement. Can I exercise my privileges as a private pilot and fly as pilot in command at night? |
Answer |
No. Because you do not have a current medical certificate you must comply with the privileges and limitations specified in 14 CFR 61.315. For an outline of sport pilot privileges and limitations, see 14 CFR 61.303.
This question and answer were provided by AOPA's Pilot Information Center. Got a question for our technical services staff? Contact AOPA. |
